Section 1: Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms” or “EULA”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you,” “user,” or “cadet”), and Ready Cadet (“we,” “us,” or “our”), concerning your access to and use of the Ready Cadet mobile applications (iOS and Android) and the readycadet.com website. By accessing or using our applications or website, you agree that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Terms. If you do not agree with all of these Terms, you are expressly prohibited from using the service and must discontinue use immediately.
Section 2: Disclaimer of Official Affiliation
Ready Cadet is an independent educational software application and study aid. Ready Cadet is not affiliated with, sponsored by, authorized by, or endorsed by Civil Air Patrol (CAP), the United States Air Force (USAF), or the United States Department of Defense (DoD). All official Civil Air Patrol trademarks, logos, rank insignia, award names, and publication titles remain the property of their respective trademark holders. Ready Cadet makes no claim to these official marks.
Section 3: Eligibility & Age (COPPA Compliance)
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. If you are an eligible Civil Air Patrol cadet aged 12, you represent and warrant that you have obtained the express permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian to create an account and use Ready Cadet.
Section 4: User Accounts & Security
To access certain features of Ready Cadet, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your password and account credentials, and you accept full responsibility for all activities that occur under your account. You agree not to sell, transfer, or share your account credentials with any other individual.
Section 5: Educational Study Aid & No Guarantee of Promotion
Ready Cadet provides practice quizzes, flashcards, study guides, and exam simulation tools based on public Civil Air Patrol curriculum (such as Learn to Lead and Aerospace Dimensions). Ready Cadet is intended solely as a supplemental study aid. Ready Cadet does NOT administer or replace official Civil Air Patrol milestone exams (such as Wright Brothers, Mitchell, Earhart, Eaker, or Spaatz tests). We make no warranties or guarantees that use of the application will result in passing official CAP exams or achieving official promotions.
Section 6: In-App Purchases & Auto-Renewing Subscriptions
Ready Cadet offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions (e.g., Monthly and Annual plans) that unlock premium features, including advanced performance analytics, unlimited practice exams, and comprehensive reference materials.
- Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account (for iOS users) or Google Play account (for Android users) at confirmation of purchase.
- Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off or the subscription is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Account Charging: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of the selected plan.
- Managing & Cancelling Subscriptions: You can manage or cancel your subscriptions at any time by going to your Account Settings on the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) after purchase.
- Free Trials: Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Refunds: All purchases and refund requests are handled directly by Apple App Store or Google Play Store in accordance with their respective refund policies.
Section 7: Apple Standard EULA Provisions (iOS Users)
If you are using Ready Cadet on an Apple device (iOS / iPadOS), you acknowledge and agree that:
- These Terms are concluded between you and Ready Cadet only, and not with Apple Inc. Ready Cadet, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Ready Cadet application and the content thereof.
- The license granted to you is a non-transferable license to use the application on any Apple-branded products that you own or control as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the Ready Cadet application.
- Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
Section 8: Intellectual Property & Prohibited Uses
The Ready Cadet application, website, compilation databases, user interface designs, custom graphics, algorithms, and original content are the exclusive property of Ready Cadet and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You agree not to:
- Copy, scrape, reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from our quiz database or application content.
- Decompile, reverse engineer, or disassemble any part of the Ready Cadet software.
- Use automated systems (bots, spiders, or scrapers) to access or harvest data from the app or website.
- Attempt to bypass security measures, interfere with servers, or compromise system integrity.
Section 9: Account Termination & Data Deletion
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to Ready Cadet at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, our service, or third parties.
You may terminate your account and request permanent deletion of all your personal data and study records at any time:

Profile → Delete Account. - Online: Submit a request via our dedicated deletion page at readycadet.com/delete-account/.
- Email: Send a deletion request via our support page.
Section 10: Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
Ready Cadet is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Ready Cadet, its owners, developers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the service.
Section 11: Governing Law & Modifications to Terms
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will indicate revisions by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the service after modifications constitute acceptance of the updated Terms.
